Monday 3rd March 2017
For Science week this year, Grange pupils had great fun investigating how chemicals are used to make toys and other everyday products. Pupils explored how chemicals mix together and whether the mixing process could be reversed. We developed our ideas to create the perfect recipes for our products. At the end of the week, we shared our work with our families in a science fair.
Year 3 and 4 Visit Woodside Wildlife Park
To enhance the children’s learning opportunities Years 3 and 4 went on a visit to Woodside Wildlife Park. The children were introduced to some amazing animals and learnt about how they would survive in the wild looking at the animals various adaptations. The children learnt about how these animals have become endangered over time. They were shocked to learn that it is often humans that endanger animals! As part of the trip the children got up close and personal with some of the creatures of the park, holding and stroking some of the animals.
